The Simsage plugin is a major step up in functionality for any large WordPress website. It majorly expands the effectiveness of the basic WordPress search. Using advanced AI the plugin indexes your site and makes your information more accessible than ever before. The main benefit is having your users be able to search information in a number of ways semantically while learning how the information works together as a whole. Its so simple to implement and has such a large impact on the capability of any website

SimSage is very easy to implement, just two shortcodes needed, one for the search bar and one for results. The search is great, far far superior to Wordpress’s default. It can be taught synonyms and semantics, so relevant search results are displayed even for typos and alternative words. A knowledge base can be created which answers common search queries. You can easily see what the common search queries are using the in-built analytics, which is amazing. Plus there’s an operator feature which allows the admin to discuss directly with the user. Highly recommended for website owners who take user experience seriously.

I installed SimSage search on a client website recently due to the poor results returned by the built-in search functionality. Both I and the client are really impressed by the results returned from SimSage search and, more importantly, the ability to fine-tune the data behind the scenes. Installation was as easy as dropping a couple of shortcodes into pages. The ‘operator’ functionality is yet to be fully explored, but it turns out to be something we didn’t know that was needed! Most importantly, the developers responded to questions promptly and have integrated feedback into recent updates. Overall. Really impressed 🙌
